The Public deserves some answers

The Moultonboro Planning Board held  a public hearing last Wednesday night at the Academy auditorium. The public asked only a few questions, but the Planning Board declined to answer all of them. They have been tasked to review the site plan as a "substantial change of use" only. The MCA agrees. The unanswered questions revolved around the phasing of the project, what drove the design and did the public at large participate and will they be able to participate in the future. The answers need to come from our Selectmen.

The Selectmen a few weeks ago were adamant that the staff meetings Carter conducted to design this "phasing plan" were off limits to the public. "Not subject to the Right to Know law" according to Betsey Patten. " No need to hold a public hearing" said our Chair Karel Crawford.

Since this "soccer field" is turning into a multi-phased "Community Center Master Plan" when will the Selectmen hold a hearing and allow the public to ask the questions that need to be answered?
